Description
The Trojan War has fascinated people for centuries. But did it really happen? Did the Trojan horse really bring about the fall of Troy? Join Michael Wood as he navigates through archaeological, historical and literary evidence- using Homer as his guide. In Turkey, Wood uses computer graphics to show how Hissarlik, a hill that is the likely setting of Troy, was destroyed more than once. In Germany, he examines Hittite clay tablets which were a contemporary record of the time. Finally, Wood visits Ireland and Turkish Armenia where the oral tradition is still strong and talks theories with historians.
