Description
Charlotte Bronte's Jane Eyre, one of the great romantic novels of the 19th century, has been filmed many times. Here, George C. Scott stars as the commanding and mysterious Mr. Rochester and Susannah York as the strong-willed orphan Jane Eyre. The film follows young Jane as she moves from her selfish aunt's house to the repressive Lowood school and finally to Mr. Rochester's estate, where she works as a governess before falling in love.
