Description
What if we could simply erase bad memories from our minds at the push of a button? That isn't necessarily science fiction, as this film demonstrates by looking at research happening around the world. Studies at the European Neuroscience Institute have revealed an enzyme responsible for storing fear in our long-term memory archives. In Canada, a simple medication is being used to liberate people from traumatic memories. And an entirely different approach is being taken in Munich - trauma therapy through simple eye exercises, known as eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, or EMDR. Will neuroscientists succeed in finding the brain's delete key? Do these experiments represent a glimmer of hope for traumatized people or a dangerous path for society as a whole?
