Description
This classic episode of The Big Picture series produced by the U.S. Army follows army engineers across dangerous wastes of ice and snow as they construct roads stretching deeper and deeper into the Arctic. New problems and new dangers constantly present themselves as snow and ice cover the land and prevent engineers from reaching the dirt, or fill, needed for road building and dangerous, man-killing crevasses are formed. With captivating footage from the National Archives and Records Administration, this video depicts this mission of the First Engineer Arctic Task Force of the Army's Corps of Engineers.
