Description
This World War II-era newsreel includes the following segments: 1. Military equipment slides on icy roads as units of the 7th Army advance; tanks bombard a town held by German troops. 2. The funeral of Admiral Sir Bertram Ramsey; flashbacks to Ramsey with General Montgomery in Africa and with General Eisenhower planning the invasion of Normandy. 3. Victory salvos are fired in Moscow to celebrate the liberation of Poland; flashbacks to Hitler and German troops in Poland in 1939 and the final surrender of Germany; Stalin and Russian generals. 4. U.S. planes bomb Germany; German fighters being shot down by aerial gunners.
