Visiting their uncle's seaside home for the summer, a brother and sister open a mysterious trunk in a back room and discover a sinister-looking pirate puppet that comes to life and takes them captive.
When Jack's parents give him a new toy, he is scared by it at first but then discovers how silly it is. Jack likes the surprises his toy offers, but when it starts getting out of control, Jack makes a deal to settle things down.
