Description
Scope and content: This weekly free community newspaper typically contained a profile article of a local individual - some famous, some not so famous. Many people profiled included musicians, restauranteurs, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, business people, politicians, and other local leaders and personalities. Regular columns provided theatre, movie, and restaurant reviews; lists of happenings and events; local philanthropic and business activities; and some political commentary. Major social events, such as the Iroquois Steeplechase, and new business developments, such as the opening of local malls, were also covered. Journalist Drue Smith contributed a regular column, entitled "Drue's Views." Advertisements also document local businesses, activities, and events.
Description
Volume numbering is irregular, particularly in 1991, with some months containing up to three different volume numbers.

Biographical or Historical Data
According to the final issue of Nashvillian (Dec. 17, 1992), the weekly free paper was created "to focus...on the unique people of Nashville who contribute their time, talent and resources to make Nashville our special place." The Nashvillian focused on positive news about neighbors and "recognized community leaders" with the desire to "identify and showcase "those in our community that share their enthusiasm and talents...to make our community a better place to live." The paper was apparently rather short-lived, publishing 110 issues.
