Fortunately his parents, and eventually his brother and sister, are willing to give it a try. But is the Dollar Program too good to be true? The homes are in horrible shape, and the locals are less than welcoming. Lowen and the other Dollar Kids try to fit in, try to help their families succeed, yet some townsfolk seem determined to see them fail.
