This DVD is for early childhood teachers, child care providers, and future teachers serving young deaf children. Based on Lynne C. Erting's dissertation "Book sharing the Deaf way: An ethnographic study in a bilingual preschool for Deaf children." This DVD focuses on topics such as scaffolding the development of ASL, emergent literacy, and cognition during book sharing, and translating text into a register more developmentally appropriate and understandable for preschool deaf children.
