Produced by UCSD Cancer Center and narrated by Kathy Buckley, this project presents information for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community about breast cancer in a non-formal setting and in a discussion, question/answer format. Topics discussed include definitions of terms related to the area including mammography, clinical breast examination, self-breast examination, lumpectomy, mastectomy, radical mastectomy, and biopsy. The importance of early self-examination and detection is stressed and various surgical options and treatment methods are presented.
