Description
Social climber Hyacinth Bucket (pronounced 'Bouquet, ' of course!) puts her best foot forward in this high-class comedy. In A strange man, Hyacinth is appalled when she sees a strange man next door at Elizabeth's after he has obviously spent the night there. In Driving Mrs. Fortescue, Hyacinth is thrilled to be asked for a ride by the wealthy Mrs. Fortescue. In Candlelight supper, Hyacinth plans one of her famous candlelight suppers to impress Emmet, head of the local amateur operatic society with her vocal talents. In Golfing with the major, Hyacinth decides that she and husband Richard should have a weekend of golf so that they can keep up with the major. In The googley-eyed registrar, Hyacinth is put in her place by a chance run-in with the imposing registrar.
