Set in the 1920s, adventurer Rick leads Egyptologist Evelyn and her brother Jonathan to mysterious Hamunaptra. While Johnathan is keen on finding the legendary Egyptian treasures, Evelyn wants to search for the Book of the Living, which would clarify a lot in historical knowledge about the ancient Egyptians. Unfortunately, they free Imhotep's mummy from his eternal prison. Imhotep, a former high priest to the pharoah, wants not only to use Evelyn's body to bring back his mistress Anck Su Namunut, but also to rule the world.
