Description
Now sitting atop Aritsar's Throne, seventeen-year-old Tarisai, vows to be a good leader and help the oppressed. After she pulls together a council and comes into her full power as a Raybearer, she must also contend with her promise to be the last sacrifice to the abiku in the Underworld. If she survives the trials, the abiku promise to end all future sacrifices; however, Tarisai is haunted by the ghosts of sacrificed children demanding justice, and their cries may prove to be her downfall.
