Description
When a series of brutal murders involving bodies drained of all blood occur throughout the Midwest, the authorities are mystified. But when the Carlson family is murdered in their Minnesota farmhouse, the police find a lead in the form of Marie Catherine Hale who is found at the scene covered in blood. Michael Jenson, son of the local sheriff, dreams of becoming a journalist and sees the story as his big break. Marie decides Michael is the only one she will tell her story to, and he jumps at the chance. But as Marie reveals her tale, Michael begins wonder if he can trust anything she says.
