Craig Stevens

A golf pro, due to marry a socialite, is blamed for a hit-and-run death. He is not guilty but has no verifiable alibi. Gunn is hired and finds the golf pro's auto mechanic is part of a chain connected to a gambler who holds IOU's involving the socialite's brother-who does not approve of his sister's upcoming marriage.

A racketeer is beaten to death and a woman hires Gunn to find out if her old flame, a Korean War hero,was responsible. Lt. Jacob knows the man,who has been an out-patient for being manic-depressive for years. Meanwhile, a fellow mobster is worried he may be blamed for the kill and wants to force Gunn to clear his name.

Gunn is hired by the wife of a prominent lawyer who is convinced that her husband and his mistress are plotting to kill her. Complicating matters is the mistress's connection to a local mobster.

Gunn is hired by a woman to follow her "husband," but it turns out that this man is actually her partner in crime. Gunn's investigation leads to the local tax commissioner who is worried about the "lies" contained in a missing suitcase which will implicate him in scandal. This episode is a wacky mixture of suspense and comedy, including a scene where the woman ends up in Gunn's apartment dressed in his pajamas, just as Edie comes knocking at the door!...

A young man rides an apartment building's elevator up, but another man has opened an upper floor elevator door with a knife, stopping the elevator, then jumps on the roof of the elevator, opens the escape door, and shoots the young man. After the murder Edie's friend Lynn Martel, also a nightclub singer, begins to drink uncontrollably. Edie asks Peter Gunn to help Lynn out, and Gunn discovers that Lynn's club is controlled by mobsters.

Thugs are terrorizing business people with their protection racket. When they drop in to Mother's, Mother tells them to take a hike. After the thugs return and trash her place, Peter Gunn tracks down the boss of the protection racket with the help of an old friend nicknamed "The Owl."

Gunn is hired by the District Attorney,whose son is the chief suspect in the murder of a pretty gold-digger.Gunn is to find out the truth,one way or the other.The fact that she was once the girlfriend of a local mobster may/may not be a clue.

Gunn's job is to remove a gangster from a wealthy man's mansion. The millionaire's wacky daughter had an ex-mob boss paroled to her and now he is using the estate as a base of operations to rub out his enemies and regain power.

Gunn is asked by an old-time, fellow private eye to find out who killed his partner before he is next. The murdered detective had been investigating a three-year-old, unsolved $500,000 bank truck heist. Lt. Jacoby suspects a polished hood but has no proof.

Peter Gunn has two questions: Where is Lieutenant Jacoby, and who kidnapped him?
