In order to match his friends' boasts, Franklin the turtle claims that he can swallow seventy-six flies in the blink of an eye, but then he has to prove it.
Franklin and his friends Bear, Snail, and Rabbit form the Secret Club, but are limited by the size of their hideout from letting anyone else join, but when Beaver starts a club of his own, Franklin and his pals begin to feel left out.

Franklin wanders off while playing hide and seek with his friends.
Franklin likes to play with his little sister Harriet but sometimes she cries or breaks his toys. Nevertheless, he comes to realize how good it feels to be a big brother.
Franklin the turtle learns that how big you are does not have anything to do with how you feel when he is assigned to be a buddy to Moose, a frightened new student at school.
Franklin the turtle searches his room desperately to find his cardboard sword so he can go play Knights in Armor with his friends, but his room is so messy he can't find it. His parents make a suggestion that will help young Franklin be cleaner and neater in the future.
When Franklin the turtle's best friend Otter moves away it makes him feel sad, grumpy, and a little bit mean, but Franklin cheers up after sharing a heart-to-heart talk and a hug with his dad.
Franklin tries to come up with a special way to show his mother he loves her on her birthday.
